Our recent tour in Manuel Antonio National Park was a study in contrasts, marked by a mix of enthusiasm and challenges among its international participants. A group of French visitors struggled with English, making communication especially difficult with the non-English speaking children. This created a somewhat disjointed experience as these guests were less engaged. Meanwhile, guests from Makanda frequently moved ahead of the group, often bypassing shared activities like telescope viewing, which may have reflected their preference for a less child-centric and quieter exploration. In stark contrast, the visitors from Selina were thoroughly engaged, showing keen interest in the tour’s explanations and eagerly participating in photography. This tour highlighted the varying expectations and experiences of visitors in the vibrant setting of Manuel Antonio.
