A Remarkable Encounter: Wildlife Enthusiasts, Energetic and Friendly

These Wildlife Spotting Reports, diligently recorded by our tour guides at Manuel Antonio National Park in Costa Rica, detail an exceptional encounter with a spirited and amiable group. We were fortunate to witness an abundance of wildlife, including numerous sloths – so close that two males even nearly landed on us while engaged in a territorial skirmish. The younger of the two sloths involved in the altercation received the worst of it, prompting an immediate response from me as I reported the incident to the park authorities. Swift assistance was provided, and the injured sloth was promptly transferred to a rescue center. It was an experience I’ve had the privilege of witnessing on several occasions, but never before had it been this close.
