The tour is designed for a small, personalized experience, so you can usually have a group size of 4 to 8 people or more, depending on your group. If the group is larger than 16 people, we will assign 2 to 3 guides for your group. It’s a great way to get a more intimate experience of the park.
As a bird lover, I was really excited that our guide Beatriz spotted a Common Pauraque within a few mins of starting the tour. This is incredibly hard to find, well camouflaged and doesn’t move or make a peep during the day. We also had a 3 year old with us and she was super patient about the whole day. I loved her!

This was an excellent tour! My guide, Aldo, was extremely knowledgeable and identified many kinds of birds, insects, and reptiles – and of course, monkeys and sloths. It is also such a beautiful park for a morning nature walk. Highly recommend!

Aldo was terrific and went slow enough for my disabled spouse to keep up. It was exciting to get to see all three types of monkeys! We also saw a three toed and a two toes sloth and their baby. The beach at the end was the perfect to close out the experience. I would definitely book Aldo again!

We had a great tour of this wonderful park with Aldo. He was very knowledgeable about the animals and plants. He helped us spot a sloth sleeping high up on a tree which was a real highlight. He was great at spotting the animals, even when camouflaged.

Aldo was an outstanding guide at Manuel Antonio National Park. We were amazed by his ability to spot the tiniest, best hidden animals that we never would have found on our own, even if we’d spent all day looking. We had fantastic experience touring Manuel Antonio National Park. Our guide was incredible they spotted so many hidden animals that we would have overlooked in our own and their explanation was very insightful. The only slight down side was that we did not get swim at beach. But overall it was very nice and recommended.

She took the time to spot wildlife that we would have completely walked past, patiently helped everyone get a good look (and great photos through the spotting scope!), and made sure no one felt rushed.
Thanks to Beatriz, we saw so much more than we ever would have on our own, and we left with a much deeper appreciation for Manuel Antonio National Park. The tour was very interesting!! We learned all kinds of interesting facts about the plants and animals there. We never would’ve seen the sloths without a guide to point them out. Aldo was a wonderful guide!
We got there for the 7:30 tour and it definitely got more crowded as the day went on so I would recommend mornings to avoid the crowd. Went for a swim at the beach after the tour which was very nice as well.

Diego was our guide for a couple hours when we visited Manuel Antonio National Park and we had a blast. He vas very passionate, knowledgeable and took his time to share with us all of his knowledge. We saw a viper, a sloth, many insects, white faced monkeys, birds, crabs, lizards, etc. He definitely has the eye!

We went with Aldo on a private tour of Manuel Antonio and it was simply amazing. Would recommend to anyone. We went with our 2 kids (6/4) and it was fine. Not too long not too difficult. Saw loads of animals and Aldo explained everything. In the end of the tour there is a beautiful beach.

We went with six people with one using a wheel chair. Frank was a great guide and very accommodating. Without him we probably would have missed 90% of the wildlife we passed. I still have no idea how Frank spotted some of the animals!

Manuel Antonio is a must but with a guide , as otherwise you may miss a lot of the wildlife.

We had a great tour with Aldo. The beginning of the tour was a little slow not seeing animals, but he filled the time with a lot of interesting information about birds, insects and plants. We saw some playful monkeys and two separate sloths

We did the private tour with a 4-year-old and a 16-month-old, and it was a success, mostly because of Beatriz. She was so engaging with the kids that our 4-year-old still talks about her weeks later.
She made a real effort to find the animals everyone wanted to see, and explained everything with just the right amount of detail, passion, and deep knowledge. Listening to her was a genuine pleasure.
Her familiarity with the park was impressive. When she spotted a toucan going after a fallen nest from far away, she knew exactly where it had landed. We rushed over and got incredibly close!
Beatriz loves her job, and that enthusiasm is contagious. Her knowledge of history, wildlife, and her ability to engage young children far exceeded our expectations. If you’re visiting with little ones, definitely ask for Beatriz. And if you’re not, ask for her too!

The Manuel Antonio private tour was one of the highlights of our trip thanks to Beatriz. We learned about the history of Costa Rica’s nature conservation and we accomplished all our goals: seeing a sloth, a toucan (really close!) and many animals (lizard, monkeys and hermit crabs that my daughter loves). But the most important part is how Beatriz engaged with our two kids to make the tour an enjoyable game. This made it much easier for us and the kids were super happy. My son still remembers Beatriz weeks after the trip remembering how she told him “Maxi Aventuras.” If you have little kids, get the private tour and see if you can get her as your guide. Beatriz was really special, a wonderful surprise.

There is tons of wildlife in the park and it would be hard to see a lot of it without a guide. Tons of monkeys were in the park. Beach is beautiful!!! Park is full of tourists.

My wife and I have took my parents, both in their mid-80s, on a private tour and had an incredible time! My parents don’t walk as fast as they used to, and needed frequent breaks, so we opted for the private tour. Our guide, Diego, was tremendously knowledgeable and was great at accommodating our pace, checking in my my parents to make sure they were doing ok. We saw so many animals we wouldn’t have seen without a guide – sloths and monkeys, but also reptiles, insects and birds. I highly recommend this tour and Diego!

There were so many people that without a guide I think it would be overwhelming without. Plus, the guide was able to show us sooo many animals I know we would have not seen without her!
Beatriz also had a depth of knowledge and was able to share history and facts with us that made our adventure not only fun, but interesting!

We went on a crowded day but we avoided all the crowds because we had the most amazing guide, Beatriz! She was super knowledgeable about the history of the park, the animals and the plants. We saw so many sloths, capuchin monkeys, deer, iguanas and lots of crabs. We spent some time at the beautiful beaches as well. Beatriz took amazing videos and pictures for us. The wildlife tour in Manual Antonio with Esteban was amazing. We saw countless species. We did a 2 hour tour (12 noon to 2pm) with Andres on March 12th. The park was less crowded and we were able to see many animals including a hummingbird nesting, squirrel monkeys, capuchin monkeys, sloths, including a mom and her baby sloth, some spiders, bats, frogs and lizards. Andres, our guide, was very knowledgeable, spoke very clear English, had an eagle eye for spotting animals and took amazing photos for us. The beaches in the park are beautiful, especially beach #3.

Great early morning tour at 7:30 AM with Aldo as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and excellent at spotting wildlife that I would never have seen on my own. The telescope allowed me to see animals up close and even take pictures of the animals without the pictures getting pixelated by zooming in. Highly recommended a guided tour!

Our guide, Frank, took a group of four of us through the park and he was amazing. Very knowledgeable of the plants and animals and all of the guides communicated from different directions where we might see something we hadn’t yet. Frank checked off all of the local critters we were hoping to see and captured beautiful pictures he shared with us at the end of the tour. I would recommend booking a tour for right when the park opens because it did crowd quite quickly but Frank was also great at keeping our group away from the crowds without missing anything. We had a fantastic time!

I’m so glad that we booked this tour. I reserved this tour in advance with my friends for the early time slot at 7:30 am. I would definitely recommend doing this earlier in the day before the crowds get to the park. Our guide, Frank, was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the wildlife and the plants in the park. We got lucky because it was bright and warm but we saw a few sloths, lots of monkeys, insects, crabs, birds including toucans, and lizards. We also got great pictures of the animals that Frank sent to us! The tour ended perfectly right next to the beach where we could swim and enjoy the surrounding nature.
It’s definitely a unique experience and a must-do in Costa Rica.
I’d recommend bringing plenty of water in non disposable containers (no plastic allowed), towels, swimsuits, and water shoes. There is a shower area near the beach.

Aldo was a great tour guide and helped us spot lots of wildlife that we would never have seen on our own. He was very knowledgeable about different flora and fauna in the park, and shared lots of interesting information with us. We were a small group of 4 which made the experience even better. Aldo was our guide. He was very knowledgeable about Costa Rica’s flora and fauna. He did a great job of finding sloths and other animals hiding in the rain!!

We had an amazing time exploring the park with Andres! He is very knowledgeable, funny & nice. We had trouble getting our tickets to download and he spent a whole hour helping us figure it out and getting us excited to see all the amazing creatures we would have never spotted on our own. He even helped me take photos on my iPhone through his Swarovski spotting scope

Sloths, bats, crabs, spiders (from a safe distance), different types of Toucans, etc. Third time here and we say more in our first 500m into the park than I have ever before. So worth it!

Highly recommend doing this with a guide. We saw so many animals we never would have found on our own and having a designated parking spot by the entrance saved us from the parking scammers. Aldo was our guide and he was fun, informative, and made the whole experience even better. We did the 12 pm tour and went early to spend time at Manuel Antonio Beach. The beach was absolutely beautiful and worth the walk, about twenty minutes once you’re inside the park. We really enjoyed our visit and our time with Aldo.

Le tour avec un guide est vraiment un plus et je recommande. Le tour s’est fait avec le guide Aldo, qui est très sympathique et patient, pour qu’on profite pleinement de la richesse du parc. Il nous donne beaucoup d’informations sur les différents animaux et l’environnement du parc. Grâce à la jumelle spéciale qu’il a, on peut apercevoir plusieurs animaux dans des coins bien cachés. Les paresseux avec leur bébé sur le ventre est vraiment quelque chose à voir.
Plein de surprises vous attendent dans cette visite guidée.
Après les 2 heures avec le guide, on est libre dans le parc et on peut se promener sur les différents chemins restants. Des points de vues incroyables ! ✨
Effectué en novembre le matin, sans pluie, c’était génial !
