Close Encounters in Manuel Antonio: Mexican Friends Marvel at Sloths and Dreams

In the sweltering heat of Manuel Antonio National Park, a lively group of friends from Chihuahua, Mexico, embarked on an adventure fueled by the hope of encountering some of the park’s most iconic inhabitants: sloths, toucans, and the elusive jaguar. While we gently set their expectations about the jaguar sighting being a rare event, the park did not disappoint with its offerings. Their dream of seeing sloths up close became a reality, as we stumbled upon seven of these tranquil creatures, one so near it seemed within reach. This moment was so impactful that two members of the group chose to stay behind, fully immersed in the experience, while the remaining twelve continued on the tour, their spirits high and their adventure senses tingling. The day was filled with laughter, discovery, and the joy of shared experiences, underlining the magic of Manuel Antonio and the bonds it strengthens among its visitors.
