On a recent night tour through Manuel Antonio National Park, we were reminded of the resilience of nature. Following a period of indiscriminate disruption a few weeks ago, there were concerns about the health of the park’s ecosystem. However, as we ventured into the night, the abundance and variety of creatures we encountered were both surprising and heartening. From the stealthy movements of nocturnal predators to the delicate balance of insects playing their roles in the night, the ecosystem displayed a vibrant health that was truly inspiring. This experience served as a powerful testament to the park’s ability to recover and flourish, offering visitors a unique glimpse into the enduring spirit of the wild. The night was filled with discoveries that underscored the importance of preserving such natural habitats, for the sake of the creatures that call them home and for future generations to marvel at.
